PDF Tools — Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the PDF Tools mobile app or the free PDF tools on CodeOpx at codeopx.com/tools/category/pdf-tools ("the app" or "the services"). By downloading, accessing, or using the app or web tools, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service (where applicable).

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose or to process content you do not have the right to use.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where permitted by law.
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app as your own.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the files you process with the app. All core processing on CodeOpx web tools happens in your browser on your device. You are solely responsible for the files you create, store, share, or download.

4. Optional conversion feature

If the publisher enables the optional server-based "Convert" feature, files you choose to convert are transmitted to the configured endpoint solely to perform the conversion. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to transmit those files. See the Privacy Policy for details.

5. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that PDFs produced will be suitable for every use, or that the app will be uninterrupted.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Always keep backups of important documents.

7. Changes to the app and Terms

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.

8. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it or ceasing use of the web tools. We may suspend or terminate the license if you violate these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
